Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Overview:

Mobile Outreach & Event Coordination:

• Check the daily calendar for scheduled events
• Make sure van is fully stocked with supplies (tablecloths, water, informational flyers, medical supplies)
• Drive the mobile van to outreach locations and events
• Set up outreach stations, including tables and chairs
• Provide information and resources to community members (May see homeless/low income/underserved/latino populations/ people living in remote areas/farm workers)
• Facilitate referrals for people seeking mental health and healthcare services
• Help connect them to resources for various healthcare and social services

Clinical Services:

• Conduct vital sign assessments (blood pressure, etc.).
• Perform diabetes testing
• Administer injections
• Collect and process lab specimens (simple tests)
• Work with SmartCare electronic records system.

Selling Points

3-5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
• Valid California Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish (bilingual)

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience working in BH/Mental health
• Strong understanding of psychotropic medications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience with providing care to underserved populations, especially the unhoused population, is highly desired.
• Comfortable working in field based environment/encampments
