Responsibilities:

In this new role as an Assistant Nurse Manager at Community Regional, you’ll apply the leadership and administrative skills you developed at the bedside to support a highly specialized Level III NICU team. Located in the heart of downtown Fresno, our NICU provides around-the-clock care for some of the region’s most critically ill and premature infants. With babies born as early as 23 weeks gestation, you’ll help lead a team that delivers complex, compassionate care to our tiniest patients. Community Regional is one of only four hospitals in California recognized by The Joint Commission for Advanced Certification in Perinatal Care and is the only Level I Trauma Center between Los Angeles and Sacramento. 

Your direct contribution to Community’s mission is evident in how you coordinate patient care, foster staff development, drive performance improvements, and ensure operational efficiency. As a member of the unit leadership team, the Assistant Nurse Manager is an exempt-level role scheduled 8-hour shifts. 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree of Science in Nursing (BSN or MSN) required 
  • RN – Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required 
  • BLS – Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required 
  • NRP – National Resuscitation Program required 
  • NICRNC – Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse required
