Welcome to CA-NANNNA Website!

Welcome to the new California NANNNA website! The goal of this site is to better connect us as a group, as well as with members of the nursing community.

The California chapter of NANNA serves as a vital professional network for Nigerian nurses practicing throughout the state, functioning as part of the larger national organization established to support Nigerian nursing professionals across North America. The organization provides mentorship programs, professional development opportunities, and cultural support for Nigerian nurses who are navigating the U.S. healthcare system and in Nigeria while also promoting excellence in nursing practice and patient care.

The chapter actively engages in community health outreach programs, particularly within African immigrant communities in California, and works to address healthcare disparities. They organize regular educational conferences, provide guidance on nursing licensure requirements in California, and offer networking opportunities for members to connect with other healthcare professionals. The association also serves as an advocacy platform for addressing the unique challenges faced by Nigerian nurses in the American healthcare system, including workplace integration, professional advancement, and cultural competency in healthcare delivery.
